Week 2 is finally over. Not a whole lot happened this week different from the last. I am coming to realize just how awesome my district is though. We have gotten the chance to meet with the other missionaries in big conferences and stuff. I am very happy to have a group of people who know so much, are so sure of who they are, and are so respectful. Not to say that my district is a bunch of goofs, but we all know when it's time to play and when it's time to dig in and get to work. We have a lot of fun, but we all have so many good insights and life experiences that the spirit is always strong with us.
This week I got to teach a REAL investigator. All. In. Spanish. By the end of it, I was so sweaty you would think I just finished a race at swim. In all seriousness though it was an awesome experience. I was genuinely surprised about how well I knew what to say and how to transition between ideas in a language I had just begun to learn. I still floundered quite a bit and I don't think he understood much of what we were trying to say, and we barely understood his questions, but we were able to give clear testimonies at the end.
On Tuesday, I head for the Mexico MTC (aka CCM). I will begin the process of packing sometime today or tomorrow. I'm gonna miss everyone a lot, but at the moment I'm too excited to think about that. The food in Mexico is definitely a worry, but how bad could it be? Life in the CCM will be very busy, but I like having things to do, I can't stand just lying around all day. It will be a good experience. Thank you everyone for all the support on my journey to this point. God has put each of you into my life for a reason, and you have all taught me a few good lessons. I would not be who I am, and I would not be where I am now if it weren't for each of you, so thank you.
