I live with a Giant
So my new companion, my little greenie, is Elder Mortensen. He's pretty cool, went to the marines is about a year older than me and is sooo tall. Like 6 7 tall. Dude I look like a midget. I know I'm not tall, but now I feel tiny, oof. Sadly his Spanish is about where mine was after the CCM
My Spanish is awesome though I'm able to lead discussions, talk about all the fun stuff with investigators. Explain most things. It's so awesome to finally be at the point where I'm not just drowning (however, just bouncing on the bottom of the pool).
Training is a bit rough, just feeling a tad inadequate with experience. I'm also trying to be perfectly obedient to all the rules to set a good example, but it's rough. But hey, God doesn't call the qualified he makes those who are called qualified.
We are teaching this new family English, and they are all super excited. Furthermore, a few aren't members but want to be... free baptisms? English is wacky though very hard to teach. I have a new respect for English teachers. I can't help but think that spelling bees in Spanish would be so simple.
I'm getting so excited for General Conference this weekend. First time that I'll probably actually sit down and take notes from the prophet, apostles, and other general authorities. So if you guys watch it let me know any cool things you learned.
Love ya
Elder Porter out
No pictures sorry :(
