Red Sun Rising and Magic Cards

Hey guys, past 2 weeks have been a bit wack, we had a temple trip today, so everything got moved around. So I got P Day Today. Pretty normal 2 weeks just busy.

Fires have been going on, so the air quality has been bad. Smoke is so thick sometimes that I feel like I'm in Texas because I can't see any mountains. Burns your eyes a bit, but I'm a strong boy I can deal with it. Cool thing is the sun and moon turned red so that was cool.

Spanish is going swell, getting my but kicked quite consistently, but I am learning. Vocabulary is expanding and my knowledge of grammar helps a lot. My biggest struggle is listening, so hard to understand sentences rather than just words. It's interesting.

Two cool experiences this week, I got to go to the Temple 2 times this week. Yesterday I went and did baptisms for the dead with the youth of our branch. For those not in the church, we believe this is an opportunity for those who didn't have a chance to be baptized or didn't want to in this life to receive this essential ordinance. (If you want to know more reach out to me and I can explain, I skipped some important steps but ya) So this was super cool because it was in Spanish! I got to both baptize and confirmation which was awesome, the feelings of the spirit are different in Spanish. It's like doing all this for the first time again. One of the youth is a recent convert, and he was sooo excited, like he could barely sit down excited. Love that boy to death. We also got to do Endowment at the temple with all the other missionaries, super next experiences there too.

Ending with a quick thought, fasting is hard. I'm a growing (I wish that were true, same height for the past 5 years) boy, I need my food. Fasting plus Spanish just saps the life out of me. However, I know that through fasting and prayer we can receive very special blessings. If I am willing to give up food for something you better believe it's for a good reason. I have seen so many miracles through it, and it's humbling.

Love you guys, stay safe out there, don't do stupid stuff (talking mostly to the guys still in high-school), and also if you got any Magic the gathering cards or good semi-spiritual music send them over. Especially the magic the gathering cards, ask my mom for the address 😉

I'm Here For a Good Time Not a Long Time

 January 30, 2023 This week was a little rough, but we're we're able to have a lot of success. A good friend had to go home early but luckily he has the opportunity to come back in a few months so that's super exciting. Also our good friend Edwin will be having his baptism pushed back but he just wants to make sure he knows enough before he commits, so not a bad thing. But we also put a friend named Jarrón on date and the other guys he lives with are soon to follow they just want to learn more. It is so exciting to see their desire to learn. Lest week we found a Magic store so that's a ton of fun and sadly will become a money drain... Very dangerous for me haha Our new missionaries in the zone will definitely mix things up but in general our focus will just be to support our District leaders and help everyone increase there want to serve. Transfer News and Super Fun Stuff

 December 12, 2022 This week was awesome! For starters, we put Yoanni, one of our investigators from Venezuela, on date! The original day was for the 14th. He's awesome, for our last lesson on the plan of salvation he was teaching half of it, and it was super great, he is definitely ready. On top of that we had a baptism on Sunday. Went well I got to baptize, sadly I dropped her haha. Yesterday I was also able to give the Holy Ghost to her, felt funny being told the words by the Branch President though like a kid in primary saying prayers. Also, Yesterday I got the news that I will be moving to Santa Clara, and I will be a Zone leader! Staying Spanish which is awesome and even better I'm getting back with my trainer so it's going to be wild. So excited, a little stressed with the new responsibilities, and very excited to see how this area does while I'm gone and hearing from my companions how the people are progressing.
