Feliz Navidad y Propero Ano

 December 26, 2022

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope that all is well. This week was a lot of fun, we did service at a food pantry and cleaned up the community gardens and then we had Zone Conference. Always amazing

We talked a lot about flooding the world with the Book of Mormon and giving very personal experiences with it. No more broad "oh I felt the spirit" stuff. We need to be bold, promise from the scriptures, and teach doctrine not opinion. We then finished with talking about asking to receive the strength to push through our trials instead of asking to remove the trials. Which I never thought about, super cool.

Christmas is always fun but as a missionary the holidays are rough, not because you are away from friends and family but because nobody wants to meet with you but you still have to be diligent. So... our response to this was making 200+ cookies and delivering them to almost everyone in our records. So for the past 2 days we visited so many people, drove for hours and almost nobody answered the door. Very sad but we came across quite a few very elect people and ended up finding 11 people to teach and have return appointments and even more with soft return dates.

I hit 6 months tomorrow, the mission is going by fast and slipping out of my hands. I am loving it here and it is where I need to be. Being in leadership is quite lonely though, you get left out of all the fun group chats, don't get invited to do games, and all in all don't get to be close with the other missionaries, but I am not here to make friends. I'm here to bring people to Christ. I read a scripture that was really good, In Ecclesiastes it says that it is a gift from God to rejoice in your labor. I am blessed to have this gift, I love the grind, I crave to learn more. I have received a witness of the Book of Mormon and the Bible, of my Savior and Brother Jesus Christ because I have prayed. I don't get huge revelations but I feel good when I teach, when I learn, and especially when I invite. I invite everyone to come and learn for yourself. Go through the Come, Follow Me, especially the appendix for this new year. Learn about the covenant path, find what you need, and seek for progression.

Love you guys so much, keep going, let your missionaries give you a lesson, invite them over. Missionaries are not perfect and have struggles but when they can come and teach, even in the middle of the day for 5 minutes, they will receive so much joy.
