Temple trip, another companion, and crazy week

Hey Everyone! It's been a long week filled with a lot of random events, so sorry if this is a tad long. Today is the temple trip which is super exciting. I'll get to go up to Portland for the first time, I here the temple there is very cool.

Fun story on how I got another companion. So I get a text from President Weekes saying we will be getting a house guest. Now I often get overnight guests in my apartment since we are close to the airport. So on P-day I was just getting the house ready for someone to come over for the night. Turns out he was getting emergency transferred from my previous area. His companion clogged and flushed the toilet which ended up flooding the whole apartment and soaked into the other apartments around it, so he ended up here since he has nowhere else to go, and he heads out to Peru in 2 weeks. His name is Elder Willson, he's cool. It's definitely very goofy having 3 people in the companionship and my little apartment again.

This week we had Zone Conference and last week was MLC, both of these focused on worship, what it is, who we worship, and how to do it. There was a big emphasis on good, Christ centered music, so I decided to delete all my epic video game music and stuff. Sad day but I'm excited to be better. 

This week was crazy because almost every day all our lessons canceled after planning an amazing week. It ended up quite disheartening, but we got a lot of finding in, sadly no new people yet. Sometimes the work is rough, but I'm learning how to plan a bit better. I am still loving the work and being able to bring joy to all these wonderful Hispanics.

Sé que Dios nos ama y que nos da todo a hacer su obra. Hay muchas personas que buscan la verdad y creo que todos de nosotros tenemos un parte en ese. Jesucristo murió por ustedes individualmente y les conoce. Si tengan confianza en él yo sé que puedan recibir la ayuda y guía que quieren. Gracias a Dios que tenemos albedrío a escojer y aprender y por el sacrificio de su Hijo a permitirnos a cambiar y recibir consuelo en este mundo. Confíen en Él y aprender de su ejemplo divino. Digo eso en el nombre de mi mejor amigo y salvador, Jesucristo amén.

I know that God loves us and gives us everything to do His work. There are many people who seek the truth and I think all of us have a part in that. Jesus Christ died for you individually and knows you. If you have confidence in him, I know you can get the help and guidance you want. Thank God that we have agency to choose and learn and for the sacrifice of His Son to allow us to change and receive comfort in this world. Trust Him and learn from His divine example. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Extra note this week...

Sorry these are so in consistent. I'm doing amazing as always. Loving my new comp he is a lot of fun and our area is thriving as usual. We had a couple people drop us this week but we still are teaching a large group of people. Sad to see them go though.
Had a good meeting about the importance of worship and how it's so much more important than just going to church. It's in what we listen to, how we think and act, everything. So as you go through life give thanks to Christ for his sacrifice and come to God with all that you've got to show him you love him.
So excited for general conference again plus temple trip on Tuesday next week!


Extra note this week...

I'm Here For a Good Time Not a Long Time

 January 30, 2023 This week was a little rough, but we're we're able to have a lot of success. A good friend had to go home early but luckily he has the opportunity to come back in a few months so that's super exciting. Also our good friend Edwin will be having his baptism pushed back but he just wants to make sure he knows enough before he commits, so not a bad thing. But we also put a friend named Jarrón on date and the other guys he lives with are soon to follow they just want to learn more. It is so exciting to see their desire to learn. Lest week we found a Magic store so that's a ton of fun and sadly will become a money drain... Very dangerous for me haha Our new missionaries in the zone will definitely mix things up but in general our focus will just be to support our District leaders and help everyone increase there want to serve. Transfer News and Super Fun Stuff

 December 12, 2022 This week was awesome! For starters, we put Yoanni, one of our investigators from Venezuela, on date! The original day was for the 14th. He's awesome, for our last lesson on the plan of salvation he was teaching half of it, and it was super great, he is definitely ready. On top of that we had a baptism on Sunday. Went well I got to baptize, sadly I dropped her haha. Yesterday I was also able to give the Holy Ghost to her, felt funny being told the words by the Branch President though like a kid in primary saying prayers. Also, Yesterday I got the news that I will be moving to Santa Clara, and I will be a Zone leader! Staying Spanish which is awesome and even better I'm getting back with my trainer so it's going to be wild. So excited, a little stressed with the new responsibilities, and very excited to see how this area does while I'm gone and hearing from my companions how the people are progressing.
