What's up everyone! Long time no see... again haha. It's definitely a struggle to get these out sometimes. Not too much for general updates. Met a few new people but not much progress being made.

Our friend Zoraida is doing pretty well. sadly she can never make it to church but she is willing to learn and with some help from our members itll be awesome.

Cool Story!
So to start off as my grandma always says, "Don't do drugs" so we are driving down the road and we see an old lady scooting around in her wheelchair. Not too unusual, but then we realize she is scooting around with her feet. Think about that for a moment. She the proceeds to ingest more drugs and curse at the world as she scoots past 50 mph traffic. so much fun. Then we got to see a pirate man who is marooned in Eugene Oregon. Quite a normal day for me.

Zone Conference and MLC were fun, i got to sing so if you watch the Oregon Eugene departing devotional i'll be front and center not singing a solo! So cool that we can always be better and strive for better.

Scripture of the week: Isaiah 1:18-19 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 

Repentance rules! Do it and you can receive a lot of blessings both temporal and spiritual

Hello, I’m Merik and I'm a recent graduate from independence high school. I will be set apart as a full time missionary tonight and have been called to serve in Eugene, Oregon speaking Spanish. I'm Here For a Good Time Not a Long Time

 January 30, 2023 This week was a little rough, but we're we're able to have a lot of success. A good friend had to go home early but luckily he has the opportunity to come back in a few months so that's super exciting. Also our good friend Edwin will be having his baptism pushed back but he just wants to make sure he knows enough before he commits, so not a bad thing. But we also put a friend named Jarrón on date and the other guys he lives with are soon to follow they just want to learn more. It is so exciting to see their desire to learn. Lest week we found a Magic store so that's a ton of fun and sadly will become a money drain... Very dangerous for me haha Our new missionaries in the zone will definitely mix things up but in general our focus will just be to support our District leaders and help everyone increase there want to serve. Transfer News and Super Fun Stuff

 December 12, 2022 This week was awesome! For starters, we put Yoanni, one of our investigators from Venezuela, on date! The original day was for the 14th. He's awesome, for our last lesson on the plan of salvation he was teaching half of it, and it was super great, he is definitely ready. On top of that we had a baptism on Sunday. Went well I got to baptize, sadly I dropped her haha. Yesterday I was also able to give the Holy Ghost to her, felt funny being told the words by the Branch President though like a kid in primary saying prayers. Also, Yesterday I got the news that I will be moving to Santa Clara, and I will be a Zone leader! Staying Spanish which is awesome and even better I'm getting back with my trainer so it's going to be wild. So excited, a little stressed with the new responsibilities, and very excited to see how this area does while I'm gone and hearing from my companions how the people are progressing.
